Summary

Chevonne Sutter, Ph.D., Ph.D., BCBA-D is the Research Assistant Professor and and Project Coordinator for the Nevada Dual Sensory Impairment Project, which provides technical assistance to families and service providers of children, birth-22 years of age, who have impairments in both vision and hearing. Sutter works with MaryAnn Demchak, Ph.D. to coordinate a range of technical assistance and training to families and service providers, from general to child-specific. Sutter travels throughout the state of Nevada to provide these consultations.  She is an instructor of courses in special education in the College of Education & Human Development.  Her research interests include data-based instructional decisions and systematic instruction for students with moderate to severe disabilities, implementation of evidence-based practices in special education, and teacher, professional, and paraprofessional education/training and practice. Her current research is focused on the identification and establishment of evidence-based practices in the field of deaf blindness.
