Summary

Dr. Dale Bazan is the Coordinator of Clinical Experiences for the 推荐杏吧原创 where he oversees student teaching internships. Dr. Bazan has presented throughout the world at international, national, state, and local conferences on his teaching and research interests. His research interests include teacher preparation, teacher identity development, foundations of teaching, creative process, popular musicianship, and social justice. His research appears in such journals as The Bulletin of the Council of Research in Music EducationUpdate: Applications of Research in Music EducationResearch Perspectives in Music Education, and The Finnish Journal of Music Education. He has been an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer for Contributions to Music Education, The Journal of Music and DanceUrban Education, and Middle Grades Research Journal. He has also been an active performer in jazz, rock, and classical on saxophone, guitar, and bass guitar and has conducted jazz bands, rock bands, wind bands, and musicals throughout North America.

鈥婤efore graduate studies, Dr. Bazan was an English/Language Arts/Drama teacher in Canada for five years and a 5-12 Instrumental Music Teacher in Canada and the United States for 11 years. In addition to his band teaching at Chugiak High School (2017-18), he introduced and taught Acting and Beginning Guitar courses. Dr. Bazan has served on the faculties of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln (2007-2017), University of Alaska Anchorage, and University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2019-2023). He was also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Education and Course Designer for the Kent State University and University of Florida Online Masters of Music Education programs for over a decade.
