Quentin Owens Smith, a seasoned Nevada K-20 advocate, possesses a unique blend of passion, expertise and experience that makes him a leader in the field. With a deep commitment to bridging the gap between higher education and the communities they serve, Quentin has dedicated his career to promoting access and opportunity by finding creative solutions to complex challenges to support the overall mission of the education system. He has a deep understanding of the importance of "Life Cycle Higher Education," from prospective students and their families to alumni and advancement and the role it plays in the growth and success of higher education institutions. Quentin is known for his exceptional ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse groups, as well as his innovative approach to engagement on all levels.

Prior to joining the College of Education and Human Development, Quentin oversaw the Scholar Recruitment and Admissions team at the University, which led the University to become a powerhouse and institution of choice for Nevada's Best & Brightest minds. Quentin has taught at the university-level and enjoys mentoring first-generation college students. He has held other leadership roles and continues to serve as Chairman of a historic local non-profit organization.

With more than 15 years of experience, Quentin holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a Master's of Education (M.Ed.) from the 推荐杏吧原创, pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at the 推荐杏吧原创, and has published in the field of student success. He has served on various committees and boards within higher education and the Reno-Sparks Community.

In his free time, Quentin enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters exploring Nevada and continues to stay involved in his community through volunteer work and civic engagement. Quentin's unwavering dedication to higher education and tireless efforts to promote positive change makes him a valuable asset to the College and the University.
