Campus Food Services Advisory Committee
The purpose of this Campus Food Services Advisory Committee is to provide feedback for Nevada Dining operations (Pack Place, Market, retail locations, and Silver & Blue Catering) and serve in an advisory capacity for proposed changes to improve the eating-on-campus experience for students, staff, faculty, and visitors/guests.
Faculty, Staff, Students representing the entire campus community as part of one of the following key stakeholder groups:
- Associated Students of the University of Nevada
- Graduate Student Association
- Residential Life, Housing and Food Services Student Leaders
- Office of Prospective Students
- Residential Life, Housing and Food Services full-time staff member
- New Student Initiatives
- Faculty Senate
- Staff Council
- Treat each other with respect and value everyone’s opinion.
- Understand we are all here for similar reasons – improving the on-campus dining experience.
- Pay attention when others are talking; listen first, then share opinions/perspectives.
- Assume best intentions – running a comprehensive dining operation for 26,000+ people at over 20 locations; all staff are seeking to provide high-quality food and service.
- Provide feedback to dining operators as soon as possible; providing photos and/or detailed descriptions.
- Members will receive a 27 meal swipe plan per academic year to evaluate food services in Pack Place (that will be added to your WolfCard).
- Completing an evaluation form within 24 hours of eating at this location is a requirement for this meal plan.
- Failure to complete the evaluation in a timely manner may result in removal of the plan.
- Attend and actively participate in monthly meetings (consistent date and time to be determined based on committee member availability).
- Meetings will be held in Pack Place starting mid/late September – lunch will be provided (not part of the 27-meal swipe plan).
- If unable to attend monthly meetings, notify Residential Life, Housing and Food Services at least 24 hours in advance. Missing multiple meetings may result in removal from this committee and the 27 meal swipe plan.
- After each meeting, minutes will be shared with the committee – members need to review the minutes for accuracy and share updates/items missed, if applicable.
Parent Food Services Feedback Committee
The purpose of this Parent Food Services Feedback Committee is to provide feedback for Nevada Dining operations (Pack Place, Market, retail locations, and Silver & Blue Catering) based on their students’ experiences eating on campus.
Parents, family members, and/or guardians of current undergraduate students – this committee has room for six individuals to provide feedback.
- Treat each other with respect and value everyone’s opinion.
- Understand we are all here for similar reasons – improving the on-campus dining experience.
- Pay attention when others are talking; listen first, then share opinion/perspective.
- Assume best intentions – running a comprehensive dining operation for 26,000+ people at over 20 locations; all staff are seeking to provide high quality food and service.
- Provide feedback from students’ experience on dining operators.
- Members will receive a 27 meal swipe plan per academic year to evaluate food services in Pack Place (that will be added to a provided on-campus dining card); completing an evaluation form within 24 hours of eating at this location is a requirement for this meal plan. Failure to complete the evaluation in a timely manner may result in removal of the plan.
- Attend and actively participate in monthly virtual meetings (consistent date and time to be determined based on committee member availability).
- Meetings will be held over Zoom.
- If unable to attend monthly meetings, notify Residential Life, Housing and Food Services at least 24 hours in advance. Missing multiple meetings may result in removal from this committee and the 27 meal swipe plan.
After each meeting, minutes will be shared with the committee – members need to review the minutes for accuracy and share updates/items missed, if applicable.
Student Food Services Advisory Committee
The purpose of this Student Food Services Feedback Committee is to provide feedback for Nevada Dining operations (Pack Place, Market, retail locations, and Silver & Blue Catering) based on their experiences eating on campus.
This committee has space for six undergraduate and/or graduate students residing on campus to offer their feedback.
- Treat each other with respect and value everyone’s opinion.
- Understand we are all here for similar reasons – improving the on-campus dining experience.
- Pay attention when others are talking; listen first, then share opinions/perspectives.
- Assume best intentions – running a comprehensive dining operation for 26,000+ people at over 20 locations; all staff are seeking to provide high-quality food and service.
- Provide feedback to dining operators as soon as possible; providing photos and/or detailed descriptions.
- Members will receive a 27-meal swipe plan per academic year to evaluate food services in Pack Place (that will be added to your WolfCard).
- In order to use these meal swipes at Pack Place (only), members need to inform the cashier to use this specific meal plan; rather than their existing meal plan.
- Completing an evaluation form within 24 hours of eating at this location is a requirement for this meal plan.

- Attend and actively participate in monthly meetings (consistent date and time to be determined based on committee member availability).

Providing feedback
The following methods are available for all students, staff, faculty, and guests/visitors to give feedback to Chartwells/Nevada Dining – it is critical that feedback (positive and constructive) are shared as quickly as possible when noticed so staff can be recognized and/or changes can be made.
