University of Nevada Cooperative Extension health and nutrition publications and programs
The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension offers a wealth of for youth and adults. These resources range from simple nutrition tips to breastfeeding and blood pressure management, and many are available in Spanish.
Cooperative Extension also offers a range of , ranging from children's nutrition and exercise programs and food safety to radon education.
The program offers a wealth of information about the radon health risk in homes, schools and large buildings, how to test for it, what to do if elevated levels of radon are found in the indoor living environment, how to build new homes with radon systems, and what to do about radon when purchasing or selling a home.

The University provides wellness services specifically for students. These services include counseling, safety information, and links to the student health center.
- Counseling Services provides professional counseling and related counseling services for the students of the University. Services are free and include individual and group counseling, evaluation for referral, substance abuse evaluation and treatment, and some testing services. Call: (775) 784-4648
- The provides primary care, check-ups, immunizations, pharmacy, lab, nutrition, and other services on site for students. All services are provided at a reasonable cost, and many services are covered by the Student Health Fee. The Student Health Center is located on the north end of campus in the Nell J. Redfield Building and serves the students with a full-time staff of licensed health care professionals, including physicians, nurses and pharmacy staff. Call: (775) 784-6598.
