Income information
The term “income qualified” or "low-income individual" means an individual whose family's taxable income for the preceding year did not exceed 150 percent of the poverty level amount. Please note that taxable income is different from gross income. These two amounts are listed separately on income tax forms. This link will provide you with the information necessary to determine if you are income qualified based on the number of individuals in your family and corresponding taxable income.
Required documents
Eligibility verification will be requested once your application has been pre-screened. These documents will only be necessary AFTER your application has been reviewed and a secondary email is sent to you.
Tax information
When requested, you will need to provide a copy of the most recent documentation of your parents' taxes (dependent students) or your taxes (independent students). We only need pages 1 and 2 from the 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ. Copies can be submitted, but they must show that the taxes were physically signed.
Transcript
You will be asked to provide a copy of your latest transcript (high school or college). This transcript can be an official or unofficial copy.
