Summary
Beth Jacobsen serves as the Search Coordinator for the College of Science. She employs strategic judgment to oversee and orchestrate comprehensive administrative and academic faculty, classified and postdoctoral recruitments. Since 2021, she has become the subject matter expert for all hiring and personnel practices for the College of Science. She works directly with the College’s ten departments to strategize fund allocation for recruitment and hiring endeavors, plans and collaborates with Chairs for faculty recruitments and promotions, and ensures salary remains equitable for all position types. In 2023 she was awarded the Outstanding Classified Employee Award for the College of Science. Her career has been wide and varied (with ten years of veterinary medicine experience), but she is ecstatic to work in a capacity that continues to ensure the College of Science grows and thrives.
