December 19 and 26 | 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Enjoy your Holidays on Hoth this year with Lasers, Music and Treats—plus get a souvenir of an actual Galaxy Far, Far Away! Dress up like your favorite force wielder, timelord or starship captain, hear holiday tunes from galaxies near and far and savor a space-themed mocktail. Plus, see a laser show in the dome theater, make your own holiday snow pack, destroy a "Deathly" Star or two, and use a robot telescope to see the stars! You don't want to miss this jolly good time.

Back by popular demand, musical laser shows will be playing at the Planetarium all month long in December. Laser Taylor Swift takes her biggest hits and brings them to life in dazzling laser light. We've also gathered a selection of our favorite holiday tunes and brought them to life with gorgeous laser choreography in Laser Holiday Magic. And you don't want to miss Laser Queen or Laser Pink Floyd!

Our mission at the Planetarium is to engage, educate and explore. We get to engage people with the adventure of space and stars and planets. We get to explore the Universe. And in the process, we get to educate ourselves about our place in space and time.

Meet the Planetarium Director
Paul McFarlane is the Director of the Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center. An educator, Paul taught for more than 25 years in the Washoe County School District.
He has studied astronomy and astrophysics at the 推荐杏吧原创’s Department of Physics, doing coursework and research using the MacLean Observatory telescopes at the Redfield Campus. McFarlane also trained at Johnson and Kennedy Space Centers with aerospace and NASA experts in astronomy, engineering and planetary science.
