Summary

Lauren Netzel is a Ph.D. student in the Integrative Neuroscience program at the 推荐杏吧原创. She received her B.S. in Neuroscience and Psychology (2019), as well as her M.S. in Neuroscience (2020), from Creighton University. She has had the opportunity to research in various fields, topics including: stem cells, epilepsy and the ketogenic diet, neural biomarkers for proprioception, proprioceptive awareness, self-motion perception, and visual input on balance. Lauren currently holds a position in Dr. Paul MacNeilage's Self-Motion Lab.

As a teaching assistant for the MARC Nevada Program, Lauren's job is to provide academic support and mentorship to MARC students throughout their final two undergraduate years. She assists in organizing and conducting workshops, professional development sessions, and standardized test-taking strategy workshops to enhance their scientific and professional skills. Additionally, she offers guidance and support to students to help them navigate the research process, and encourages them to present and publish their work. Through one-on-one mentoring, Lauren strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the development of a diverse pool of well-trained scientists.
