Best practices for programming events
The College of Liberal Arts values the rich diversity that exists among our faculty, staff, students and communities. We also strive to create programming and activities in and outside of the classroom that engage communities in important conversations and enriching experiences. Planning events and activities should consider the religious holidays, cultural heritage events and other important dates that might prevent individuals or groups from participating. Faculty, staff and student groups should be mindful of conflicts in schedules due to religious observances or other demands during particular times of the year. Please consult the University diversity awareness calendar before scheduling events. The calendar is also a useful tool for developing curriculum and events that can help others learn more about the array of cultural, religious, LGBTQ and other celebrations, traditions and remembrances that take place throughout the year.
The 推荐杏吧原创 is committed to creating a work and learning environment that is free of discrimination. The University will make a good faith effort to provide reasonable religious accommodations. Please see the University Administrative Manual policy on Religious Accommodation for Employees (UAM 1,940) or contact the Equal Opportunity & Title IX Office for more information.
