Component overview
The Search Bar is an element that allows specific searches from a set of webpages.
- Search Bar components can be used on all page schemas: Search Bar components may be used on Section Fronts, Section Detail, Profile Detail and Degree Detail pages.
- Multiple Search Bar components can be placed on one page: Search Bars may be used several times on a page, but be cognizant of overuse.
- Search Bar components require Google Custom Search Engine filters: To work, you need to create a Google Custom Search Engine (GCSE) filter. To request a GCSE, send an email to cms@unr.edu.
- Search Bar components only have one style: The Search Bar does not have styling options. They have standard sizing and you may place an unstylized header above the Search Bar.
- Search Bar components require a separate results page: You need to build a separate page to populate your search results from the Search Bar component.
There are no known accessibility issues with Search Bar components.
