Committees
The following committees and work groups have been formed to operationalize and bring to fruition the Division’s DEI strategic plan. Currently, there are five committees, some with subgroups. The description of these and the corresponding chairs and members are also listed.
List of committees
The Division-wide Student Services Diversity Committee (SSDC) will be responsible for promoting campus and community diversity initiatives, programs, affinity groups, and services across Student Services. This committee will compile yearly academic year-end reports that include goals, accomplishments, and data concerning diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts throughout Student Services; develop a diversity professional development series in collaboration with campus and community constituencies that includes varying levels of participation and DEI certificate program; and develop a process for the recognition, sharing and promoting of individual and department success in the areas of diversity and inclusion (diversity, champions, mentor awards, best practices, etc.). The committee will share its efforts in a centralized location on the Student Services website.

The Recruitment and Retention Practices Committee (RRPC) will be responsible for identifying best practices, resources and guidelines for individual functional areas and across the division related to the recruitment and onboarding of diverse faculty and staff. The committee will draft and share a final document to Student Services personnel describing expectations and guidelines for the recruitment and onboarding of diverse faculty and staff and develop a comprehensive assessment of the recruitment and onboarding experiences of candidates for positions (Classified and Administrative Faculty) across the Division. A key function of this committee is the development and implementation of retention efforts for the faculty and staff in Student Services.

The Mentorship Program Working Group (MPWG) will be responsible for the development and launch of a Student Services mentorship program that focuses on building relationships and connecting new and existing employees across diverse staff groups. The Working Group will determine the overall structure and parameters of the program including defining the terms Mentor/Mentee; developing mentorship relationships on different aspects of identities; determining what type (group, individual, or both) mentoring opportunities should be provided; and developing an assessment component for the program.

Inactive committees
The Student Services Pathway Review Working Group (PRWG) will be responsible for the reviewing of existing University pathway programs, researching best practices pathway programs from across the nation, and developing proposals and working to implement discovered best practices here at the 推荐杏吧原创. This working group will not just focus on 推荐杏吧原创 9-12 grade efforts but will also seek to create pathway opportunities for middle school students as well

The Culture and Climate Working Group (CCWG) will be responsible for reviewing existing Divisional efforts for assessing work culture/climate. The working group will work with Human Resources to develop a survey tool for use across the Division; develop and implement a new Division-wide system to assess work/culture and climate; and review and use the campus climate survey as a potential foundational document. This working group will develop and create opportunities for the Division to address identified culture and climate issues and take action in real-time.
