Faculty Liaison for Academic Standards
The Faculty Liaison for Academic Standards assists faculty with the Academic Standards process as established in UAM 6,502. They serve as an impartial and informal resource for faculty and can provide information, guidance, and assistance in addressing academic standards violations.
Spring and Fall 2025 Initiatives
As the Faculty Liaison for Academic Standards, efforts will focus on assisting faculty with charging letters, including drafting, providing recommendations on charges, addressing deficiencies, and offering general guidance as needed. The role will also include training and education initiatives to include leading workshops on the academic standards policy and generative AI in collaboration with the Office of Teaching Excellence, creating a faculty resource hub to relevant tips and supporting documents, and supporting the Academic Integrity Board in faculty training. The Faculty Liaison will also work closely with the Academic Standards Committee to collect and report on relevant data and trends related to academic standards cases.
