Support for successful scholar-advisor appointments

The 推荐杏吧原创 is committed to the welfare and professional development of postdoctoral scholars and has resources universally available to serve postdocs during their time on campus.

The Postdoctoral Affairs Office at the 推荐杏吧原创 serves postdoctoral scholars and their faculty mentors by enhancing the postdoctoral experience and cultivating professional development opportunities. Further, the office provides annual evidence-based mentor training available to both faculty mentors and postdoc mentees and ongoing support. The University is a sustaining member of the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA), so all postdocs and graduate students are eligible for  that include access to funding, mentoring and professional development resources on the NPA website.

Postdoctoral scholars on campus have access to professional development workshops led by faculty and campus leadership on topics ranging from grant-writing and applying for academic, industry or other career positions. The Postdoctoral Affairs Office offers professional development workshops specifically for postdoctoral scholars on topics like diversity, time management and dataset management. Further career and personal support is offered from the VPRI office, Career Services, University Libraries, the Writing Center and Counseling Services.

Overall, the postdoctoral community at 推荐杏吧原创 is growing and vibrant, with well developed opportunities for professional development growth in areas of academics, teaching, industry and business. The community has opportunity to meet regularly and several groups of postdocs have organized weekly lunches to support their individual career progression needs.
