  • A completed Application for Educator Licensure found at the .
  • One completed original fingerprint card, or Livescan submission of fingerprints. The easiest way to accomplish this is through the WCSD HR office, for a small fee.
  • Original transcripts issued by an accredited college or university and bearing the college or university seal. Transcripts do not need to be in a sealed envelope.
  • Competency testing score reports for everything except the Substitute License. Visit the Nevada Department of Education  or the specific tests necessary for your license.
  • A copy of your valid, unexpired state-issued driver's license or identification card, and/or proof of Permanent Resident status if not a U.S. citizen.
  • A cashier's check, money order, or Visa, MasterCard, or Discover payment for $161 (as of 4/2017). Cashier's checks or money orders should be made payable to the Nevada Department of Education. If you are mailing in your application and want to pay by credit card, you may use the credit card authorization form available on the DOE website. No cash or personal checks will be accepted. Licensing fees are not refundable.
