The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge recently announced that the 推荐杏吧原创, has once again received the Highly Established Action Plan seal, constituting it a “Voter Friendly Campus” for the 5th year in a row. The University is one of only 93 schools nationwide to receive this designation in 2024

The designation was given after a review of the University’s democratic action plan, which was developed in December of 2023 by the Center for Student Engagement (CSE). The plan aims to communicate the mission, goals and strategies to increase the campus status of voters, political education, registration to vote and normalize a secure culture of democratic engagement and civic values.

Not only does the University’s encouragement to get involved in elections increase student engagement, but it also ensures that every student has a voice. The University earned 31.5 out of 36 points from the Strengthening American Democracy Action Planning Guide (SADG) Rubric on its 2024 nonpartisan democratic engagement action plan, which details what aspects and characteristics are required to maintain a strong nonpartisan democratic campus.

“Through the efforts of our campus community, we aim to make the voting process inclusive and accessible to all students and to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge and the resources they need to make informed decisions,” Center for Student Engagement Director Sandra Rodríguez said.

The prestigious title is a testament to the commitment to democracy on campus, which in turn promotes increased political education through democratic communities on campus, demonstrating respect and appreciation of diversity, utilization of applied learning and active social responsibility.

The University is a great place for young adult voters to gain exposure to political elections, which can motivate individuals to vote in future elections and help build a culture that prioritizes diverse voices and political stances. It encourages people to fulfill their civic duties.
