The ÍƼöÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ is bringing back Day at the Museum, with free admission to museums across and beyond campus on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family-friendly public event hasn’t been held since the COVID-19 pandemic, and museum curators and directors are excited to bring it back.

“Museums are wonderful ways for the community to connect to the place they live, and meet the wonderful staff, students and faculty here at the University,” Beth Leger, director of the Museum of Natural History, which is participating in the event, said. “That’s why we’re thrilled to bring back Day at the Museum.”

Each participating museum will have a hands-on activity for attendees to experience. Visitors are also provided with a drawstring bag and a bingo card, which they can get stamped at each museum they visit. When visitors get “bingo” they can redeem their card for swag at one of the designated tables on campus.

Free parking is available in any of the garages and non-metered parking zones at the University campus. Visitors are not permitted to park in 24/7 reserved spots. An interactive map that provides wayfinding on campus is .

This year, twelve University and local museums will be open to the public, including the Fleischmann Planetarium, the Lilley Museum of Art, the Nevada Historical Society and the Wilbur D. May Museum. A full list of participating museums is on the .
