“This event is great for novice to advanced gardeners, as well as just anyone looking for a fun fall event,” Lauren McGue, Extension’s Botanic Gardens manager, said. “Attendees can come and learn what to plant in the fall and also see what experienced gardeners have grown.”

Extension's 7-acre outdoor educational Botanic Gardens are located at 8050 Paradise Road in Las Vegas. Maintained by faculty, staff and Master Gardener volunteers, the gardens feature an orchard, vegetables, compost, mulch, native wash, children's garden, rose garden, cactus garden, milkweeds/monarchs, herbs and a team development course.

Although tickets for the Harvest Celebration can be purchased at the door, due to space limitations, Extension encourages by Oct. 14. Tickets for the event are $10 per person; children 4 and under are free. For more information, email McGue.
