Men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball to hold open practices

The Nevada men's and women's basketball teams will hold open practices at the Lawlor Events Center on Saturday, Oct. 16 ahead of the Wolf Pack's Homecoming football game against Hawai'i at 7:30 p.m. PT.

The Nevada men's and women's basketball teams will hold open practices at the Lawlor Events Center on Saturday, Oct. 16 ahead of the Wolf Pack's Homecoming football game against Hawai'i at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Doors to the Lawlor Events Center will open at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free. Per state of Nevada and university mandate, all attendees must wear a mask indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Seating will be in sections 2-8 only in rows 7 and higher. Fans will enter the glass doors on the upper level on the south side of Lawlor Events Center, which faces Wiegand Fitness Center. Tickets are not required, but fans are asked to RSVP to ensure proper staffing levels. Please click  to RSVP. Free parking is available in the Brian Whalen Parking Garage. ADA parking is available on level 1 of the West Stadium Parking Garage.

  • Head Coach  and women's basketball will take the floor from 1-2 p.m.
  • Head Coach  and the men's basketball team will appear on the court afterward, beginning at approximately 2:30 p.m. through 5:30 p.m.
  • The We Are Nevada Fan Zone will open at 4 p.m. with festivities for Homecoming to follow.

Head coach  enters her fifth year with the Pack, returning 14 players and welcoming five newcomers. Nevada returns leading scorer and All-Mountain West selection . Hamilton posted the third-most points in a single game in the Mountain West during the 2020-21 season after scoring 32 against UNLV on Feb. 1.

Head coach  returns for his third season at the Nevada helm, returning eight players, including Mountain West Newcomer of the Year point guard  and All-Mountain West shooting guard  from a team that went 16-10 and reached the Mountain West Tournament semifinals in 2020-21.
