After working for Hamilton Robotics, a leader in the lab automation business, for 10 years, Craig Vincze, Ph.D. saw a gap in the market for customizable lab plasticware he felt he could fill as an entrepreneur. Today, as CEO and cofounder of Clickbio, he utilizes space at the 推荐杏吧原创 Innevation Center — Powered By Switch, where he consults with medical researchers and collaborates with his Clickbio team to bring to market custom labwear designed in Reno and manufactured in California.
“It looks like just a piece of plastic, but it is actually an engineered product that works to bring life-saving drugs to market faster," he said. "It really is making an impact in the world.”
When Vincze is not busy prototyping in the Innevation Center’s Makerspace and meeting with clients, he enjoys traveling with and supporting his son Ben’s tennis team.
As a Reno native with both a bachelor's degree and a Ph.D. from the 推荐杏吧原创, Vincze has always been rooted in the community. Using The Innevation Center’s co-working space is crucial, he said, because of the networking possibilities.
“At The Innevation Center, there’s a constant flow of people who have heard about all the great things happening in the startup environment in the Reno area,” he said. “So we get a lot of other entrepreneurs who come through and we learn from their experiences and share ours. There’s a mutual benefit there.”
