推荐杏吧原创 has selected Barnes & Noble College to manage the in-store and online Nevada Wolf Shop operations beginning Monday, June 29, 2020. The partnership was approved by the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents, Friday, June 12. Barnes & Noble College will support the academic success of University students, offering affordable learning materials including an extensive selection of used, digital, and new textbooks, plus robust textbook rental and price match programs.

Textbook operations has changed dramatically in the last few years and this new partnership brings the University in-line with national bookstore best practices.

“ASUN has owned and operated the Nevada Wolf Shop for 67 years,” Dominique Hall, president of the Associated Students of the University of Nevada, said. “Despite concerted efforts, this model was challenging to maintain. Given these realities, a change in our operations needed to occur. A partnership like this one, will again allow us to serve the best interest of University students.”

This partnership will allow ASUN to transform its enterprise to become a more competitive, full-service operation. Additionally, it will help fund community-based initiatives such as scholarships, student jobs and student life and student organization programs and events.

Through its expansive offering of affordable course materials, Barnes & Noble College will drive significant cost savings for University students. The Nevada Wolf Shop will also offer open educational resources and OER-based courseware through OpenStax, BNC Courseware +™, and other major providers. First Day™, the company’s inclusive access solution, provides additional opportunities for savings by offering course materials at reduced prices through a course materials charge-for-participating program. Students have the option to receive their materials on or before the first day of class, delivered seamlessly through the Canvas learning management system.

Additionally, faculty will gain access to Adoptions & Insights Portal, an advanced online textbook adoption platform. AIP offers a step-by-step guide for course material adoptions, recommendations, peer reviews, adoption history, and the ability to compare course material prices and formats.

Barnes & Noble College will also offer an enhanced product assortment of clothing, gifts, school supplies, Apple Computer and other technology products, and more, which students, faculty, staff, and alumni can browse both in-store and online.

“The 推荐杏吧原创 is highly regarded for its top-tier education and world-class research, and we are proud to support the ongoing academic success of the campus community by increasing access to affordable learning materials,” Lisa Malat, president, Barnes & Noble College, said. “We look forward to delivering a dynamic retail experience and innovative learning tools, all while providing great value to the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the University.”

Barnes & Noble College currently operates more than 770 campus stores nationwide.
