University leadership, faculty, staff and students to meet with Nevada legislators during the 2023 session

RENO, Nev. — The 推荐杏吧原创 will hold 推荐杏吧原创 Day at the Legislature on Monday, April 3, at the Nevada Legislature in Carson City, Nevada. The day will feature a breakfast, visits with legislators in the Nevada Senate and Assembly Chambers, legislative meetings and a pep rally reception.

Planned by the University’s Office of Government Relations and Community Engagement, the day’s events will encourage University leadership, faculty, staff and students to learn more about Nevada’s legislative process and to share their experiences in support of the University’s strategic goals for the 2023 session.

WHAT: The 推荐杏吧原创 will hold a day at the Nevada Legislature.

WHEN: April 3

  • 7:30-9:30 a.m.: A breakfast will be held for Nevada legislators and University leadership, faculty, staff and students.
    • Where: Nevada Legislative Building, room 3100.
  • 11-11:30 a.m.: University leadership, faculty, staff and students will be introduced as guests of the Nevada Senate.
    • Where: Nevada Senate Chambers
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: University leadership, faculty, staff and students will be introduced as guests of the Nevada Assembly.
    • Where: Nevada Assembly Chambers
  • 1-3 p.m.: University faculty, staff and students will attend and watch the legislative committees.
    • Where: Nevada Legislative Building, various rooms.
  • 5:30-7:30 p.m.: The University will hold a legislative reception and pep rally for the University community and Nevada legislators, featuring the University’s cheer squad and the Pride of the Sierra marching band.
    • Where: Griffin Company, 4100 S. Curry St., Carson City
