Biotech Research Industry-Student Experience (RISE) initiative
Biotech RISE is facilitated through a partnership between the Nevada Center for Applied Research, the University’s Biotechnology Program, and industry to develop student research and internship opportunities while also supporting industry research and development. With access to state-of-the-art labs, and available student interns, industry will be equipped to approach research projects with ample and affordable support. Students will gain pertinent research skills through hands on experience and project management.
Industry project support and benefits
- Access to a student workforce, including graduate and undergraduate students.
- Internships may be paid or unpaid.
- Projects and internships can be conducted on-campus, at a company worksite or a hybrid of both.
- Laboratory, equipment and shared services access.
- Research support from University professors and researchers.
- Grant opportunities and support through the Sierra Accelerator for Growth & Entrepreneurship.
