Summary

Jean-Paul Perrotte is an American composer. He received a Ph.D. in composition from the University of Iowa in 2013. His teachers have included professors Lawrence Fritts and David Gompper. He is currently associate professor of composition and coordinator of music theory at the 推荐杏吧原创.

Perrotte is active composing music in his studio where his compositions include works for acoustic instruments, fixed electroacoustic playback, mixed acoustic instruments and electronics, dancers, video and live streaming of EEG data for musical playback. Perrotte has performed his work internationally in Greece, Germany, Spain and Croatia as well as within the United States.

Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Nevada Reno, Perrotte was a visiting instructor in composition at the University of Iowa. He was also an instructor at Kirkwood Community College where he taught music theory, songwriting, recording techniques and guitar.
