Summary
I grew up in Houston, TX and received my B.S. in Environmental Studies from Texas A&M University in May 2023. I discovered my passions in ecological research and decided to attend the ÍƼöÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ to work with Dr. Julie Loisel studying tropical peatlands in the Caribbean. After performing fieldwork in Costa Rica, I am curious to understand and develop a first look into the palaeoecological history, soil carbon stock extent, and the drivers behind formation in 'New World' tropical peatlands. Additionally, after interning with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, I am eager to explore ways to aid people with their environmental issues and protect their land, especially in wetland ecosystems.
