Communications

Advancing the University's reputation and brand position through engaging multichannel communications strategies.

Internal mass email requirements, guidelines and best practices

Email is an efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly way to communicate with large groups of people. However, non-strategic use of mass email can reduce employee productivity and hinder the University’s ability to deliver critical messages. It is critical that mass email communications be conducted effectively and efficiently.

Internal mass email

Find requirements, guidelines, and best practices for ensuring email remains an effective form of communication. If you are a campus communicator, find the person designated to approve your campus-wide email communications sent to listservs, or find the most appropriate alternative channel for your communication.

University media policy and access

Communications coordinates and oversees all communications on campus, including all contact with the media. We are dedicated to building and strengthening relationships with the news media to responsibly promote the University and its accomplishments, inform the public about policy and positions and provide general news.

Press releases

All news releases are distributed to the media through our designated University communicators. If you would like to issue a press release, please contact us. If you have questions about the best way to make your news available to the public, please contact us.

Find an expert

Many University faculty/staff are experts in their fields and are available for media interviews on a range of topics. Contact the Communications team when media reaches out so we can be aware of any upcoming media coverage and support for both you and the media throughout the interview process.
