M.A. Thesis title: Viking Dentition

Howdy! This is Tyler Olson, and he is a Masters Student studying dental anthropology. In his studies, he has come to find a joy for studying various tooth morphologies, morphological variation between populations, as well as human tooth evolution. Outside of teeth, he enjoys studying trauma, forensics, and various cultures around the world. Tyler has aspirations to become a board certified forensic anthropologist, work within the field of forensic odontology, as well as obtain an education and degree within modern dentistry. Tyler is currently working on his Master’s thesis pertaining to the dentition of all Viking populations in the region of Scandinavia. Outside of school, Tyler is an avid player of volleyball and golf, as well as playing stringed musical instruments, building things with his hands, and designing within a 3D space for architecture, 3D modeling, interior design, and various wood- and metal-working projects. Previous to college, Tyler had the opportunity to be nominated for the Presidential Award for Educational Excellence, holds school records for his high school men’s volleyball program, and awarded the Eagle Scout award from the Boy Scouts of America.
