Natalie Fry joined the 推荐杏吧原创 in 2007. She is a seasoned professional with nearly 20 years of strategic marketing and communications experience predominantly within the higher education field and some experience in nonprofit and agency work.
Natalie joins the Research & Innovation division most recently from the Office of Marketing and Communications where she has served the University for more than 15 years, most recently in the role of Marketing Communications Officer. Natalie supported the marketing, communications and branding strategy for the transition of Sierra Nevada University, acquired by the University in 2022, to become the 推荐杏吧原创 at Lake Tahoe.
Natalie has served on many committees and has held a number of leadership positions on campus and in the community: 2020-2021 COVID-19 Campus Recovery Working Group, communications committee lead; Information & Communication Technology Committee Member; 2019-2021: Administrative Faculty Committee Chair; 2018-2021: Administrative Faculty Committee Member; 2017- 2019: Early Career Academic Faculty Committee, communications liaison; 2016-2017: Faculty Senate, President's Division Senator; Fulbright 70th Anniversary Program, planning committee member; StoryCorps, communications team; Intel International Science & Engineering Fair, public relations committee, Walker Basin Project, communications committee; Reynolds School, alumni committee member; Target 500 committee member, recruiting and recognizing National Merit and Presidential Scholars; ASCENT (All Students College Educated in Nevada Today) steering committee, and numerous hiring, events, observances and communications committees.
Since 2005, Natalie has been a member and professional partner with the national Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and has held multiple board positions with the local Sierra Nevada Chapter.
Natalie was born and raised in Nevada, growing up in the rural farming community of Smith Valley.
Natalie reports to the Vice President for Research and Innovation and partners with faculty, staff and students to advance the University’s impacts in areas of research, discovery, outreach and economic engagement including innovation, entrepreneurialism and commercialization.
