Families and guests
Families and guests are invited to participate in January orientation with their student. The program will include Wolf Pack Preview and a live virtual or in-person day. Orientation is a great opportunity to become familiar with campus, connect with administrators, faculty and other families as well as participate in breakout sessions on topics ranging from safety to financial aid and housing.

Orientation program details for families and guests
- Students must register each parent or guest through the orientation registration portal
- If a guest needs to be added or removed from an existing registration, please email orientation@unr.edu with the name and email address for the guest.
- There is a $40 per guest fee for the Orientation Program.
- Guest fees are waived for families who qualify for a Pell Grant.
- Guest fees cover programming, materials and food.
- This is a single-day program held on Wednesday, January 15, that begins at 12 p.m. and runs until 4:30 p.m.
- Students and guests will receive the program link for orientation after 3 p.m. on January 14.
- Students will use their NetID to log into a web-based platform called WebCampus to access the orientation program and Zoom links. (Please confirm your student has activated their NetID.)
- Parents/guests do not have the ability to separately log in to WebCampus. The program is designed for students and guests to participate together using the student’s WebCampus account.
- It is possible for the student to log in to the course on more than one device at a time.
- This program does not include academic advising. Students should contact their advisor directly to set up an appointment.
- This is a single-day program held on Friday, January 17, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Check-in begins at 10 a.m. on the third floor of the .
- The program will consist of breakout sessions, a resource fair and tours of popular locations on campus.
- Campus offices will be open by 8 a.m. for students who have business to complete on campus, i.e., financial aid, WolfCard, etc.
- Students who have not submitted a photo for their WolfCard should plan on checking in early to do that before the program begins.
- If you are flying, plan to fly into the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
- Shuttle service is not provided, however, the University is about a 10-15 minute drive with any ride-share company (Taxi, Uber, Lyft)

- Driving east on I-80, take the N. Virignia St. exit and turn left onto Virginia street.
- Driving west on I-80, take the N. Virginia St. exit and turn right onto Virginia street.

Free parking is available for students and guests attending orientation on the top two levels of the .
- A valid parking pass is required.
- Parking passes are available to download and print. The parking pass must be displayed in your window.
- Passes are only valid on orientation days and not valid at numbered "pay by space" spots.
- The University is not responsible for tickets received due to no parking pass
