Dear Wolf Pack Family,

I hope you are enjoying the wonderful spring weather and our beautiful campus as much as I am!

I have exciting news – I am pleased to announce that we have begun significant programming at the ƼӰԭ at Lake Tahoe in beautiful Incline Village, Nevada. This includes the introduction of the “Semester at Lake Tahoe” program, which begins during the fall 2023 semester.

“Semester at Lake Tahoe” is open to sophomores and juniors in the Colleges of Science, Liberal Arts, and Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources, and the Schools of Public Health and Journalism.

This immersive learning opportunity promises to be academically and personally transformative for all the students who choose to participate. It will be a unique learning experience, one that will be enhanced by what is perhaps one of the most beautiful educational settings in all of higher education. The emphasis will be on creating an intimate learning environment that will feature small class sizes, as well as field and practical experiences in areas such as the environment, sustainability and the arts.

It will also feature the very best of what the Digital Wolf Pack Initiative (DWPI) has to offer, including cutting-edge digital literacy experiences. Any student not already participating in DWPI will receive an iPad once they have signed up for “Semester at Lake Tahoe.” All participating students will live in the residence halls on the ƼӰԭ at Lake Tahoe campus for the fall semester and must purchase a “Lake” meal plan. Tuition and fees will be the same as they are for our Reno campus.

We envision “Semester at Lake Tahoe” to be very much in the spirit of a study abroad experience. Students will live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, learn about sustainability and the Tahoe Environment, have access to outdoor opportunities like skiing, hiking and the Tahoe beaches, and have the opportunity to broaden your creativity in one of the finest ceramic and art studios in Northern Nevada.

Students who are interested can receive additional information by . This once in a lifetime opportunity to live, learn and play at Lake Tahoe is limited so apply today!

Go Pack!

Sincere regards,

Brian Sandoval
