Food Preservation Program will be offering free workshops on pie fillings for long-term storage and pickled products Feb. 21 and 26.
“These workshops will provide information on water bath canning, equipment and elevation, and an overview of specialty ingredients used in the food preservation process,” said Program Officer Elizabeth Mapula, with Extension. “We will also demonstrate the process of creating pie fillings and pickled products.”
There are two workshops available: pie fillings for long-term storage and pickled products. Each workshop will be held once. Each workshop is free to attend, but preregistration is required. Both workshops will be held at the Extension office at 8050 Paradise Road, Suite 100 in Las Vegas.

- Pickled products, 1-3:30 p.m., Feb. 26. .
