The 推荐杏吧原创 School of the Arts is hosting Reno Jazz Festival from Thursday, April 25 to Saturday, April 27, at the 推荐杏吧原创 campus.

The 2019 Reno Jazz Festival is quickly approaching and the School of the Arts is seeking volunteers to help with the festival. Every year, the Reno Jazz Festival hosts about 10,000 students, directors, chaperones and guests. To accommodate the many festival attendees, the Reno Jazz Festival uses volunteers as door monitors, announcers/timers and stage monitors.

For each half day a volunteer works, they are eligible to receive a free ticket to the evening concert on the day they volunteer. On Thursday, the evening concert will feature Walter Smith III with 推荐杏吧原创 jazz faculty ensemble, The Collective. The Friday evening concert will feature Melissa Aldana Quartet with an opening act by the University student jazz ensemble, The Free Radicals. On Saturday, the evening concert will be the Reno Jazz Festival Showcase and Awards Ceremony. If volunteers work a full day, they will also receive a free festival T-shirt and a box lunch, in addition to a ticket to that evening's performance. The festival hours run from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27. One volunteer shift generally averages five hours.
