Summary

Maia hails from Newark, New Jersey, growing up with a fondness for urban living and West Coast winters. She received a B.A. in Mathematics from Cornell University in 2021. In 2023, she moved to Reno to work with Professor Daniel Trugman and the Nevada Seismological Laboratory. Her current research centers on tacking large datasets to better understand earthquake rupture processes. In her spare time, she loves to skateboard, walk her dog, and organize.
