Summary

Elizabeth A. Koebele is an associate professor of political science at the 推荐杏吧原创. Her work focuses on environmental policy.

Koebele's research and teaching interests include collaborative environmental governance, water policy and management in the western United States, disaster policy, public policy theory and qualitative/mixed methods. She is particularly interested in how collaborative approaches to policymaking shape the policy process and its outcomes. Her research has been supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the U.S. Department of Agriculture and other funders.

Koebele is the winner of a 2021 NSF CAREER award to support her research on Colorado River water governance, as well as the 2022 NSHE Board of Regents Rising Researcher award. Her work has been published in numerous academic journals such as Policy Studies Journal, Policy Sciences, Global Environmental Change and Water Resources Research. Koebele received her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in environmental studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she was a research affiliate with the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research (CSTPR) and a graduate research fellow with NSF's Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC). Prior to that, she graduated from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University, as a proud first-generation college student.
