    1. 30 Credits
      1. Up to 9 may be taken previously as Grad Special
      2. HIST 783 (Historiography) 3 Credits – First Semester
      3. Another 700-level historiography course in field – Second or Third Semester
      4. 600/700 level course in CLA but outside history (3 credits)
      5. 2 Graduate-level courses in the College of Education and Human Development (at least 6 credits)
      6. HIST 795 (Exam) 1 up to 3 Credits – Last Semester
    2. Comprehensive Examination (bibliographic essay)
    3. Teaching Unit Pland.
    4. 2 M.A. Fields
      1. First field: Examination
      2. Second field: Teaching unit plan
    5. Time Limit
      1. All requirements must be satisfied during the six years immediately preceding the granting of the degree
  2. Thesis Committee
    1. Faculty advisor

    3. Faculty member outside of the History Department

      3. Prospectus colloquium at the end of the ofsemester

      1. Coursework related to fields (1 course)
      2. HIST 795 (2 credits)
      3. Application to Graduate (due mid-semester to the Graduate School)
      4. Final Oral Presentation and Submitted “Notice of Completion Form”
