Atmospheric Sciences
Atmospheric Sciences encompasses many areas of study that explore the atmosphere's physical characteristics, motions and processes, and how these influence all aspects of the environment and human life. Atmospheric scientists interpret and predict weather patterns, analyze climate trends, monitor air quality, working in a wide variety of agencies, laboratories, businesses and educational institutions.
Atmospheric SciencesEcology, Evolution & Conservation Biology
Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology is an interdisciplinary doctoral program bringing together faculty and students from multiple departments and institutions at the 推荐杏吧原创, the Desert Research Institute and the Great Basin Institute. The program includes collaboration from University departments such as Biology, Chemistry, Geography and more.
Ecology, Evolution & Conservation BiologyEnvironmental Sciences & Health
The Environmental Sciences & Health Interdisciplinary Graduate Program is based on the tenet that graduate education in the environmental sciences requires an interdisciplinary approach encompassing the fields of chemistry, biology, ecology, physics, and human health. We offer programs of study leading to M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Sciences & Health.
Environmental Sciences & HealthHydrologic Sciences
Students within the Hydrologic Sciences Graduate Program can specialize in surface water hydraulics, watershed hydrology, water resources evaluations, water quality, geomorphology, and limnology. Specific areas of emphasis in Hydrogeology include groundwater contaminant transport, geochemical evolution of ground waters, nutrient transport processes, vadose zone hydrology, ground water resource evaluation and ground water modeling.
Hydrologic SciencesIntegrative Neuroscience
Students and faculty have the unique opportunity to study within this specialized area of research with access to cutting-edge technology, such as a new functional MRI facility鈥攁 partnership between our Center for Integrative Neuroscience and the Renown Health medical center. Our neuroscience research faculty have expertise in molecular genetics, behavioral analysis, developmental biology, electrophysiology, optogenetics, human psychophysics, virtual reality and functional MRI and EEG.
Integrative NeuroscienceMolecular Biosciences
The Molecular Biosciences Graduate Program is an interdisciplinary collaboration between the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources (CABNR), the College of Medicine and the College of Science. Our program offers degree paths for master鈥檚 and doctoral degrees in: Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology. As a student, you have the benefit of access to faculty with a broad range of specializations across the biological and biomedical sciences.
Molecular BiosciencesSocial Psychology
Our program represents an integration of psychological and sociological scholarship with a bio-psycho-social foundation, grounded in culture and gender, to form an interdisciplinary, contextualized perspective for the investigation of personal and social life. Our scholarship integrates the study of individuals, the small groups in which they interact, and the context of larger systems and organizations within which they exist.
