Summary
Jackie Ferdowsali’s first RN position after nursing school was on a telemetry unit at the Cleveland Clinic. After a year she transferred to the medical intensive care unit where she cared for some of the most critically ill patients in the country. These early nursing experiences further developed her passion for nursing and ultimately Jackie decided to pursue an advanced degree in the adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner specialization. She has experience working as a nurse practitioner with cardiac and medical patients in both the intensive care and long-term acute care settings. Currently, Jackie oversees the adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner track at the Orvis School of Nursing. Her passion has transformed to a focus on interprofessional education and improving health care outcomes for individuals, families and populations.
