Summary

I study the material properties of ice, and how these properties influence the preservation of paleoclimate records in ice cores. My research focuses on the processes impacting the metamorphism of snow, firn, and glacial ice within polar ice sheets and utilizes fieldwork, microstructure analyses, and modeling to answer questions surrounding the interpretation of ice core paleoclimate records.
