Summary

Kate Pollard, the music education lecturer at the 推荐杏吧原创, holds music education degrees from the University of Delaware (BM) and Ithaca College (MM). Before moving to the Reno area, Pollard attended the University of Washington's music education Ph.D. program while acting as the University supervisor for music student teachers. Her doctoral dissertation is about successful mentoring relationships between music student teachers and their mentor teachers.

Pollard has given clinics and presentations at many conferences around the country. In addition to student-teacher mentoring, her research interests include assessment, children's musical culture, ethnomusicology in the schools and the use of interactive whiteboards in the classroom.

She has taught junior high choral and general music in New York and elementary general music in the Seattle area. She has completed two levels of Orff-Schulwerk, one level of Kodály and three levels of choral music experience certification.
