Christie Rowe

Summary

Christie's career has focused on the rock record of earthquakes and geological characteristics of the earthquake source. She completed her doctorate at UC Santa Cruz (Earth Sciences, 2007) after graduating from Smith College (Geology, 2000). She was a lecturer at the University of Cape Town (2006-2009), returned to UCSC as a researcher in the seismology group (2010-2011), and held the Wares Chair in Ore Forming Processes and Canada Research Chair in Earthquake Geology as a professor at McGill University (2011-2024). She joined the Nevada Seismological Laboratory in 2024.
