Marcelo Ariel Fernandez earned his Ph.D. in Social Science (Economics) at the California Institute of Technology in 2018, and was Assistant Professor of Economics at the Johns Hopkins University before joining the department in 2024. He teaches microeconomics, and is interested in economic design and its applications. His research is forthcoming in American Economic Review: Insights and Games and Economic Behavior.
