International Business Advising

Students wishing to fulfill the requirements of the Bachelor of Science in International Business need to select a business concentration, take two years of a single foreign language, and select a regional track consistent with their language studies.

Before meeting with an advisor, students should print and fill out the applicable advising sheets for both a concentration and a regional track, which are all located below.

Upper-Division Business Core and Major Courses for Concentrations

The International Business (IB) major has specific advising forms for the various course concentrations, which students should print and complete before seeing an IB advisor. Those forms are below:

  1. Accounting advising
  2. Economics advising
  3. Finance advising
  4. Management advising
  5. Marketing advising

Students with special interests may create an alternative course of study with a general concentration, but these courses must be approved in advance, and in writing, by an International Business (IB) major advisor.

Foreign Language and Non-Business Courses for Regional Tracks

Students with special interests may create an alternative course of study with a general regional track, but these courses must be approved in advance, and in writing, by an International Business (IB) major advisor. Download and fill out the advising forms for the applicable regional track, located below, before meeting with an advisor.

Students Studying Abroad and Transfer Students

For students studying abroad, transferring from other programs, or in other special circumstances, some substitutions to the requirements for theses concentrations and regional tracks may be possible, if approved in writing by an International Business major advisor and/or the College's Student Success Center Advising office. International Business major advisors are listed on the College's faculty advisors page.
