Teaching Assistantships

Undergraduate teaching assistants (UTA) help in our laboratory courses, usually working directly with a graduate teaching assistant. UTAs help set up whatever is needed for the day’s lab session. During the lab session, UTAs help students with concepts, protocols, and techniques. There are UTA positions available for BIOL 192 (Principles of Biological Investigation), BIOL 251 (General Microbiology) and BIOL 395 (Laboratory in Genetics and Cell Biology). This is a unique and fun opportunity to assist their peers in laboratory work and make lasting connections with graduate students.
